Study on Tensile Shear Strength of Dissimilar Lap Joints for Multi-Material Structures

چکیده
In order to design a future multi-material car body, both an appropriate selection of the advanced materials and suitable assignment joining methods are essential technologies, where data-base joint performance has be prepared. this research various dissimilar lap joints were fabricated tensile shear strength those was evaluated. The used ultra-high steel (UHHS), carbon fiber reinforced thermo-plastic (CFRTP) aluminum alloy A5083P-O. resistance spot welding (RSW) refill friction stir (RFSSW) employed for UHHS A5083P-O, while & CFRTP A5083P-O by (FSSW) laser irradiation assistance plastic (LIAPW). joined RFSSW found almost two times that produced RSW, difference seems mainly caused area. area also affects or &CFRTP made FSSW LIAPW, LIAPW larger than FSSW. Moreover, all tests suggest total heat input during process might not influence proportionally relationship between conditions evaluated using artificial intelligence technologies in contribute performance.

EFFECTS OF pH ON LAP-SHEAR STRENGTH FOR ASPEN VENEER
This study is one part of a whole project called “Impact of Extreme pH of Structural Adhesives on Bond Durability.” The objective of this study was to evaluate effects of pH on wood– adhesive bond strength and chemical change in aspen (Populus tremuloides Michx) wood caused by extreme pH exposures. Aspen veneer lap-shear samples were tested for maximum stress (N/mm) and wood failure (%) after e...

متن کاملStudy on Characteristics of Dissimilar Material Joints for ITER First Wall
The first wall (FW) of ITER blanket includes beryllium (Be) armor tiles joined to CuCrZr heat sink with stainless steel (SS) cooling tube and backing plate in order to improve plasma performance and reduce thermal stress. Since these joints must withstand thermal and mechanical loads caused by the plasma and electromagnetic force, it is important to evaluate the strength and thermal fatigue lif...
متن کاملResidual Strength Analyses of Riveted Lap-Splice Joints
Aging aircraft may develop multiple-site damage (MSD) that can reduce the structural integrity of fuselage structures. The existence of small cracks emanating from adjacent rivet holes in a fuselage lap-splice joint is of major concern. Small collinear cracks greatly reduce the residual strength of a panel with a lead crack. Recent studies predicting the residual strength of flat and curvilinea...
متن کاملnon-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures
seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...
